A note

Dear Bytepod users,
Bytepod was concived on 25 June 2021, when we played around with web components and created a music-player. After iterations, it was wrapped aroud to be a podcast player. Later in December 2021, we felt the need to get a short podcasting app, when we realised that our Spotify Rewind had a very miniscule mention of the podcast we had listened to, in the whole year &mdash largely due to its length. There came Bytepod. Over the one year journey, we went to a thousand strong active users, pitched and represented to various competitions and investors and emerged as a strong application.
But the sun is as bright as it should have been. We regret to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to shut down Bytepod. We understand that many of you have come to rely on our platform for your short form podcasting needs, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
We are proud of what we have achieved with Bytepod, but unfortunately, the costs of maintaining and updating the platform have become too great. We have explored various options to keep the service running, but unfortunately, we have not been able to find a sustainable solution.
We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support of Bytepod over the year. We have been inspired by the incredible podcasts that our users have created, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of your podcasting journey.
Please note that the Bytepod platform will be shut down on April 30, 2023. Until then, you will still be able to access your podcasts and download your personal data. However, after this date, the platform will no longer be accessible.
We encourage you to explore other podcasting platforms that may meet your needs. We apologize again for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for being a part of the Bytepod community.
Sincerely,
Jeet Dhokiya
